I've heard various people discuss shifting, and I need a clue.
What is short shifting? Why/How is it done? What are the benefits? Any other types of shifting?
Thanks in advance

I beleive short shifting is just shifting at a lower RPM...For example...If I have a bike with a 15k redline, but peak power is around 11K RPM,then theres not really a point in shifting all the way up at redline.

Another example of a short shift is when you have an aftermarket race pipe on and you see a cop.:D
