The R6 is known for having the "pep" in take off and superior control ability. The R6 also has the look sport enthusiast seek. Dual headlamps (gattling beam in '03), sleek body, all aluminum Delta Box II frame (DB III on '03), and a much sportier overall look.

The YZF 600R is a much more comfortable ride. The seating position is more of an upright stance. The 6R has also kept the ergonomic, real world body styling for the past several years. It is a practicle, yet sporty machine.

Both bikes run great, have good middle weight power, and both have ram air induction.

Unless you ride them side by side on the track, there is little differnce in performance. The choice for you would be whatever you think looks and feels better.
