I bought my bike from a guy who in turn had bought it from someone else. The guy wasn't too sure about what year it is, so it got me wondering... is there a serial number somewhere on the bike that will let me know when it was made?
I'm not sure the serial numbers are the same in South Africa but for the U.S. models look at the number on the frame. The last six a numerals. To the left of those are two letters. '95=SA, '96=TA, '97=VA and so on. I assume they skipped U because it would be confusing. You can extrapolate from there.
