Most enthusiasts would be up on new bikes coming out to at least some degree. So I will figure you are a new rider. For a new rider I would suggest a enduro on/off road type bike. something like a 250. Get used to riding and get some time off road. Get the bike out of shape as much as possible to get a feel off how the bike feels when the ass un-hooks. Buy something used but in good shape (good deals can be found on enduros with low mileage that people dont use). after you get some off-road experience you could always put some street tires on it and have a little super motard. I personally believe this is the best way to gain experience and panic manuver skills. After your comfortable on that bike and can handle traffic well move up to a street bike or even a big motard style bike. If your not a novice I aplogize but you didnt say what kind of riding you want to do so it would be hard to make suggestions.

My bad

That's my fault. I've been riding for about 3 months now, everyday straight. I have a Ninja 250 R. I am about to head to the dealership right now, but am not quite convinced on what bike to get.

Johnny, still yet you need to be a bit more specific. What class bike are you thinking, 500, 600, 750, 1000? Do you want an all-out sportbike, or something with a bit more comfort for longer hauls?

I think that next year we might see some updates to some of the sportbike classes (though not much for the GSXRs or CBRs since their 2001 line is so fresh), but none that would make buying one of today's sportbikes a disaster for you, especially given your level of experience. September is usually the time when the final word is out for following year's bikes, so if you can hold out until then...
