You can review my other post on this topic for all of the previous background info but here is the latest update and what I have learned about the searching for insurance process. I got a faxed estimate from 7 different companies and after at least 20 phone calls, yes I counted, I decided to follow up on a tip from someone else who posted in the other topic that AllState has independent agents and they will all give you different quotes.
The 6th AllState agent I called quoted me $386 for 6 months full coverage with $500 deductables and uninsured motorist coverage added. (The 1st agent I called quoted me $1189) This is an EXCELLENT rate and I got a signed fax to confirm it. It is only $65 per month. This price I can live with and I am so happy that I finally found reasonable insurance. I am 22, single, 1 ticket, MSF course, AMA member soon and the bike I got quoted was a 1999 Honda CBR 600 F4.
For those of you looking for insurance, especially those under 25 years old, my advice is to call every AllState agent in the phone book within driving distance of you and you will get vastly different quotes. I hope this helps others find good rates too.
