It's Thanksgiving weekend and there have to bee some good rides waiting to happen out there. I'm thinking about a long, but fun ride:

Phoenix to Showlow (for brunch)

Showlow to Payson for gas

Payson to Camp Verde

Camp Verde to Phoenix

Total of about 500 miles.

It's great views, great roads and good fun .

Come work off some of that turkey.

We leave from Krispy Kreme in Tempe @ 9:00 am.

Dress Warm

email me or respond to this thread if you're interested.

Have a great Turkey Day,

Rich

Inclement Weather

Well the normally reasonable weather here in Phoenix has turned for the worse.

SO we're not going to be riding Friday.

The forecast is for rain showers, which could be snow showers in the higher elevations.

If anyone is interested in making this ride at a later date, let me know.

Let's do it

My wife and I are up for it. What do you want to do? We're thinking either The Showlow ride (can be very cold) or a loop out around Roosevelt lake (shorter and somewhat warmer).

The Showlow ride is abour 6 hrs. and the Roosevelt lake ride is about 3 hrs.

Let us know.

OK Le'ts Go

Any one wanting to ride, be at the Krispy Kreme shop in Tempe.

To get to Krispy Kreme, take the Baseline Road exit off of I10 and go east on Baseline Road. Turn left (North) on Priest Dr. and look for the shop on the left in the Arizona Mills Mall lot.

We'll leave about 9:00 am.

We're planning on riding to Roosevelt Lake and back, so be prepared for cold and about a 3 hour ride.

See ya there,

Rich

Likewise, Tammy and I had a great time and look forward to riding with you again. Maybe we'll head south next time and try to stay warm.:)
