Hi all,

I have a '92 Katana and I'm planning on putting on some new rubbers soon. From what I understand the factory put on 110/80 17 on the front and 140/80 17 for the back.

When I got the bike it had a 140/70 on the back.

My question is what will happen if I put on a 110/70 ZR17 and 150/60 ZR17 sized tires?
I would like to say with the "factory" size but I can't find them and they look so small...

Is there a speedo correction device available for motorcycles?

Thanks in advance.

I have put a wider than normal rear tire on my bike. It is safe; won't pop of rim or any other horseshit like that. It might not have the optimum contact patch on sides, but the patch in middle would be wider. I wouldn't make a habit out of getting bigger tires if you ride hard, but if it's just cruisin, then it won't hurt. don't worry about changing speedo.
