Next monday (8/12) will be my first track day, really excited about it! It's going to be with fastrackriders.com at California Speedway.
My question is how strict are they on tire requirements? I'll be riding in the beginer/superstreet group. The tires on my bike have about 2500 miles on them. They look good still, not that worn. They are the stock 207ZR's. Will these get me on the track? I can't really afford to go by new tires just for this, know what i mean.
What do you with track experience think?

You should be fine. But after this track day I'm sure your gonna want to purchase some nice sticky race tires for the next time you go out for a track day.

P.S. Prepare to be addicted and have no money left. ;)

Hmmmm 2500 mi...do any burnouts on em..? :D re: the condition of tires....if ya gotta ask, ya prolly should snag new ones...:D And yepper, like Robert said..you'll be addicted, and broke...for your next set of "stickier" tires, check with some racers at the track..for some take offs that are in good shape..save lots of $$$$$$$$$:D or ya can get new tires track side usually for less than a dealer...

Have fun..

thanks for the reply guys, i'm going to make these tires work for this one track session and just thrash 'em, and then probably buy some race take offs. Have you guys checked ebay, there have been some pretty good deals, some under a $100 for a set of 208's. I'm already broke but somehow manage to find a way to make it to the track anyway, looking forward to it.
