Tire Pressure Guages

Never heard of it myself and I always stick to the small Michelin guages.

They're only S$30 and they work fine, until you drop them!

Pressure Guages

I would recommend the Blue Point guage, quite a few of us use them. Easy to use and seems reliable. Well protected so will withstand the odd knock.

If you get one mark it well and keep your eyes on it at track days, it has a habit of growing legs.:( :(

Sold on Bluepoint

Yup, I agree with DD. The bluepoint is much better than the Michelin guage (Sorry to break it to you Boycie)

It has a couple of advantages over the Michelin guage.

Firstly, it's flexible hosing makes an easy job out of finding the tyre valve.

It's main advantage however, is that it lets you release pressure, whilst with the Michelin guage you have to check pressure - release pressure - re-set guage - re-check pressure...and so on until you have the desired pressure or you find you've released too much and it's off to the petrol pump for some additional PSI.

I used to own a Michelin guage until I used a bluepoint guage once and I was sold.

Man..bluepoint should pay me some commission

ok cants ....

now .. before this thread gets out of hand, your trusty technical director will step in ....

1. It is a tyre pressure guage
2. It should NOT need to cost $55.00
3. I just bought a perfectly good el cheapo pieceashit ... for $18, that will probably get me 'close' to the tyre pressure I want ... but not as exact as the $55 option .. but ...
4. Do you REALLY think a farkin pressure guage, designed to enable exact pressures of tyre .... will REALLY make you a safer, faster, less crash prone rider ....

and

5. before you THINK to answer that ....... do a poll .... how many users of Blue Knob pressure gauges have crashed ???

oh, and before I forget ....

6. The real reason to own one, which none of the other cant's would ever admit too ... is so they can steal your's when they loose theirs !!! ....

opps ... and one more ..

7. Your all cants.:p :p :p

18 bucks for a tyre guage, at least you wont have to worry about some twat nicking it:twofinger

Did you get the guage at the same place you bought the over sized oil filter wrench:twofinger You will be needing a big tool box fer Christmas so you can keep the dust off all the shite you have bought, the tool shop must love you:twofinger

All this for a lousy tire gauge?

I can't believe all these postings! For a bleedin' tire gauge! Next we will be discussing the merits of various types of nail-clippers!:twofinger :twofinger

Ok, ok, while on the topic of tire-gauges - I paid $13 for mine. It works well enough, allows you to release the pressure and is very accurate.
