You'd have to ask a couple questions though, if it does come to commercial use in apparel (which prolly not for quite awhile), would it still be breathable as to not trap moisture or air within the user? Would it be resistant to friction such as scrapes (like when you wreck and slide for 100yrds)?

If you listen to what it is I'm not sure its going to be immediately applicable in motorcycle gear.

It doesnt sound like it will have much ablative use, since its such a thin layer. It may be viable to use it overlapping thinner armor layers than we use now, to make more potent armor, but there's still going to be a need for another material to handle the scraping part, since I think this will just be an impact absorbing material.

I was kidding when I first posted this, but if you think about it, it might work. THe stuff becomes a solid when agitated. This means it would prevent scraping as well as impact. Hmmmm may have to look into robbing this lab and testing the stuff out!~~~
