what do u guys do to your bike to make it easier,comfortable, anything for stunting?like whats that i guess metal square thing that hangs off the end of the seat? from what i've seen it there to do 12'o clock wheelies,but what else. and how do you get the gas tanks to look like seats. its got some kind of indentation? just wanna learn more about stunting. pics would be GREAT if you have any to post

The metal plate on the back is a mount for a set of wheels. Its for the high noon wheelies so the bike has something to land on. The seat/gas tank is just a flattened gas tank.

Yeah, the metal on the back is a wheelie bar. They protect your seat cowl from getting crunched, and you can scrape them on 12's, they also make it possible to park it up at 12. They do also work as a means of not going over but dont think you can rely on one while learning. At this stage in your game if your touchin a 12 bar down then your on your way down, they only benefit a VERY experienced rider. The gas tank is crunched in to help keep you seated and not sliding of the slippery tank while doing Highchair wheelies/ stoppies/ etc. which is when your sitting on the gas tank with your feet over the windshield(if youve got one of those)/handlebars.or other stunts while seated on tank. this can happen accidentaly from hard landings while seated on tank, but most people just sit on tank and pick your a## up with your hands on tank and drop down repeatedly until tank is indented to your liking. This is once again a solution for a very experienced rider. All it will do for a beginer is make your bike look like shit because your not experienced enough to be trying these manuvers yet. However once you get to a certain level with practice they will be vital to your progression. Do understand that few people ever get to that level in comparison to the gereral motorcycle public. The best investment you can make to your stunting future at this point is good protective gear and a set of frame sliders for your bike if you dont have them. Frame sliders are worth their weight in gold.(stunters insurance):twofinger :twofinger . For performance mods, gearing is the only thing that will safely benifit you, and Im using safely very loosely!!!!!! The bottom line is that practice is the only thing you can do to make riding a motorcycle more comfortable.. Good luck!!!!!!!

thanks for the re-ply's guys! i understand that you have to be riding for years and be very experienced to even try some of these stunts. i wont go try a high chair first day out there,i'll be doing noraml non-stunt riding for a while before i try any kind of stunt. i do plan on getting frame slidders and good protective gear, for sure. i just wanna learn all i can about the set up of bikes,and what these things do. thanks again;)

If you're seriously considering doing stunting I recommend looking into some race fairings. Although they may be pricey and a pain to use, not street legal and all, fixing your F'd up fairings can cost more and they odds of you messing them up are pretty high starting out.

the other things I recommend: make friends with a body shop guy (one who is good with plastic repair) and get to know ebay very well. I tossed my bike and had to replace all of the fairings and a new tank. From factory I was looking at around $3000; on ebay $800......you do the math. :cool: :D
