Hello all..

I am a tall rider 6'4".. is there a sportbike that is better suited for tall riders ? Or is it possible to adjust or modify foot pegs and shiters to accomidate taller folks ? ( It is hard to squeeze my size 13's between the peg and the shifter on some bikes )

Much Thanks..

you think your 13's are hard try my 15's, I'm 6'3'' so I know how you feel, thats why I'm going with the katana, its not the best out there, but it sure is comfy

zx12, cbr11, Busa, bigger bikes work for bigger riders. Seems you ought to be able to take a shift lever to a machine shop to have it extended, just like a swingarm.

I'm 6'4" and my first bike, although a great bike to learn on, a ZX-6E was quite small for me. (Like flat-foot with the center stand down small). The guys I ride with told me the bike looked small with me on it too :)

I've got a ZX-9R now and it fits way better! I haven't had any problems with shifter clearance though. What kind of footwear are you using when riding?

Welp..the Gixxer's are said to have a longer strech to the bars, I'm 6'2", and it's pretty comfy for me, my Son is 6'6'' and 270..he feels comfy on the Gixxer's also...BUT..I'd suggest riding all bikes to what you like best...at least sit on them..take a friend so he can hold it upright for ya...:D

6'2", size 15 feet. I find the ZX6R quite comfortable around town or on longer rides. I don't think you'll have too big a problem on any of the normal-size sportbikes. Tried riding a Suzuki Across 250, which is (apparently) big for a 250, and I had to get off it after 15 minutes in the backcatcher position.

What bike did you have in mind?

I'm 6'3" with size 12's and I have an 2000 Honda F4 and I don't have any problems here..Maybe rearsets that go back an inch and a longer shifter might help, but I duno who makes anything like that..

6'5 with a 14 shoe and the Hayabusa is the most comfortable bike in or around the street bike class that I have ridden. The ZX-9R would be my next choice for big guys.

Bikes for the tall

I am 6'3" and ride a 2001 Triumph Sprint RS. It is quite comfy without losing its handling abilities. I recommend it for taller riders.:D

I'm 6'0, 160lbs.. yea yea, i'm a stick..

my F2 is hella comfy.. as are the 954RR's...

I test rode an R6 and a gixxer 600 last week, the R6 i thought i was gunna die on, the gixxer was more comfy, but i didn't like the eurgonomics...

katana's are SLOW.... still waiting on someone with a hayabusa to trust me enough to allow me to ride their bike, although i'm sure i'll be lusting over it when i get off... =)
