New to the forums so I thought I'd share this. This season I decided to start switching gears...been riding/stunting for a long time now, just never had the desire to go through the gears. Well, this year I got the urge. Being good at 1st and second gear wheelies, I thought I'd be ok switching between the two. Well, I had great success. I started in first around 4000rpm and brought it up pretty high. When I got around 10000rpm I put pressure on the shifter and when I felt the torque lessen on the rear wheel I let off the throttle, then rolled back onto it quickly. This made for a smooth transition into second. What made my day was hitting third for the first time and keeping it up for a decent run. When I finally brought her down I was going 110mph. (Not too fast but sure as hell not slow)

I have shifted through the gears all season long, only slipping out 2 or 3 times. The trick to it is being high enough to lessen the torque on the rear wheel and keeping that pressure on your shifter then rolling off and quickly back on the throttle.

"IF" your ready, give shifting a try. It opens up a whole new world.
