anybody want to take yer sportster out this sunday? leave a message we can meet in castle rock. ride to astoria or something, weather permiting. you dont have to have a sportster, i do and i'm not alone. the more you ride it the more you like it. my suspension is not that hot like a super bike but this old world scooter will jump from 50 to 65 in about one second. i have never had it past 80 and i'm afraid to take it up again. when it bottoms out on the back roads it sends chills up and down my spine. the front and rear suspension is fully adjustable. its a fun bike to scoot around in the back yard. very light and compact for a 1200 she wieghs a whopping 490lbs. the turn signals are stupid with a left button and right button you have to hit the right turn with out changing throttle position, nice trick. the shifter clunks like a 60's bmw 600 even if you are very gentle. i try for false neutral between 4th and 5th and it impossible to find i can get false neutral between 3rd and 4th but it might hop back into gear. i have a bike shop in castle rock ha ha! nut no business. can get big leather saddle bags for unde $50 mine are on back order. still waiting on pull back handle bars, sissy bar, touring seat, this bike is a '99 xl-sport 1200. looks like evil knievil's worst nightmare. gonna dress her up. that gun-fighter seat has to go. busted my ass on it last sunday. so lets get these sportsters tight and make a run to vancouver or astoria or someplace. take a vote. later oh...no drinking. you dont need booze. eat something good instead.
