I have an 05 636. Bought the yellow box to fix for my sprocket changes and for factory error. Anyone know where the wires are located so i can put this thing in. I havent taken the plastics off to search because i have a cage and other crap that has to come off first. just want to know where to look before i do any disassembly? Any help would be great. pics even better. thanks

I havent installed one of those myself so I cant bee too sure. I would guess they either tie into the ECU connector located under the rider seat/fuel tank, The dash connector at the back on the instrument cluster, or by the speed sensor connector (most likely) that is next to the countershaft sprocket cover, completely exposed. Either way, you shouldnt have to take many plastics off.

You have a cage? Like to see a pic of that! The wires you speak off are routed from the sprocket up thru under the tank/seat and to the ECU. You 'prolly dont have to remove anything but the seats and maybe lift up the tank depending on where & how the instructions ask you to connect them...

I changed my front sprocket (-1) but just use the tach and my neighbors trailblazer to set 55 mph. Don't care about knowing any other speed, it's either slow and steady or pinned!

ok, so i tried to put my yellow box on today with no luck. I took the cover for the front sprocket off, as well as the seat. How many ries am i looking for. The yellow box has 4 wires. power, ground, in and out. when looking at the bike heres what i see. Wires going to kick stand. Two vent tubes. One green wire about 2 inches directly below the front sprocket. (looks like a sensor but theres only 1 damn wire. And from the case there are four wires coming directly out of it. Any ideas. i am usually pretty good at wiring and this is pissing me off. The instructions are more deatailed for just about every manufacturer except kawasaki.
