No offense, but how are you going to put your feet down at stop lights or in traffic if your feet can't touch the ground? Unless you're really good at balancing, you've got to at least be able to get the balls of your feet on the ground. You can lower streetbikes, don't know if you can do it to dirtbikes/dual sports.
Maybe look at the smaller 250, 350 sizes, they're closer to the ground than the 650's. Still plenty of power for around town and trails, and good to learn on. I had a KLR 650 that was pretty tall, and I'm 6'.
