CULVER CITY, CA - Last night, the San Fernando Valley Bike Night ("SFV Bike Night") had another record turnout. A total of 214 sport motorcycles attended the weekly gathering last night in the San Fernando Valley setting a new record. The last record of 208 was set back on July 31, 2002.

The SFV Bike Night has seen a steady increase in attendance since it's start in 1999. In 2002, there were four record turnouts and in 2001 there were two records. Until last night, every record turnout occurred during the early summer months, late June through July. This makes the first record turnout set during the winter months and shows the success of the SFV Bike Night.

With last night's record turnout, new concerns have been raised. With this type of turnout during the winter months, organizers of the SFV Bike Night predict as many as 400 to 500 or more attendees during this coming summer.

In order to accommodate the numbers of riders expected this summer and provide an organized, enjoyable event, a new venue is needed to provide adequate parking and safety, and food and beverages for everyone in attendance. The organizers have been in contact with several businesses in attempt to reach a mutually beneficial arrangement. However, attempts thus far have been unsuccessful.

The SFV Bike Night began in fall 1999 by six local sportbike enthusiasts getting together once a week to ride, socialize, and grab a bite to eat. In January 2003, due to the success of the SFV Bike Night, a company was formed for the purpose of organizing and promoting the event. The company expects to make an official announcement in April 2003. More information about SFV Bike Night and information on contacting the organizers can be found at
