I guess I am writing to warn others and get some feedback and perceptions about certain roads in the So Cal area. First, let me say I love the San Diego area. I grew up in San Diego county and have become very familiar with the roads. For the first time my brother and I went to south county in SD. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! Telegraph Canyon/Otay Lakes Rd sucked big donkey d**k  ! We tried finding the best way to get to Telegraph, and with a few missed turns we finally got there. We wanted to swing inland and eventually hit the 79 into Sunrise Highway and Julian. The good thing about that ride was going through Lyons Valley road and hitting up Japatul Valley road (our usual way). Don't waste your time on Telegraph/Otay Lakes Rd. For me the best riding in San Diego is north county: Corser Canyon, west Lilac Rd, 76 up to Palomar, Palomar east & west sides, Mesa Grande, & Montezuma Rd (into Borrego Springs). I can never get tired of those routes! Any similar experiences?

Also, I road to Laguna Seca with friends and Angeles 2 wasn't bad, but for me the best road going up was the 58 and gotta luv PCH on the way down. Much more to tell, but maybe later!

You've nailed it.
These are the best motorcycle roads in the country (and maybe the world). You can ride a hundred miles and never need to pass a car.

The thign abuot Telegraph is that you need ot be going faster than I feel comfortable with in order to get that thing to be fun... .. I think it is a great place to start though..

I'm out here visiting up near Santa Monica and will entertain those rides if you're going again. Post if you're going or can stand the company, or send a PM. Thanks.

Im getting restationed in LA soon Ill be glad to get the hell outta Texas. (Ive never met so many red necks until I got here) I plan on doing Angels Crest again with my friend. Last time I tried it I made a little mistake comming off the 10 onto the 110 and traffic wouldnt let me is so I forced it and I ended up hitting the median that began to divide the exit lane with the right shoulder lane. The bike flew about 10 feet, in front of me and I rolled twice and landed on the median. Its funny how I was only outta town for a few months, and I already forgot some of my own riding grounds.
