I saw on one of our many oil related posts, that someone was using the Royal Purple Synthetic oil. I just found out that my Napa dealer carries the stuff and I bought 4 qts. Their brochure stated that for motorcycles nonracing, that they use the 15w-40. They did not have the racing version to do a comparison as to what is different.
Oh well, here goes $5.35 qt, hope the motor, transmission and clutch last :)

For what it's worth, my local bike shop recommends Royal Purple over anything they carry if you choose a full synthetic. However, since I do not yet have my bike, I have had no experience with it. I will say that it is just as good if not slightly better than Mobil 1 Synthetic for cars but it costs more and is harder to find. I would not worry about it at all. Royal Purple makes some really good stuff.
