When you replace the brake pads on a dirtbike is it necessary to have the rotor resurfaced/turned? I would look in the manual but unfortunately I don't have a manual (but I do have one on order).

Thanks

I used to change the pads and just forget about it.

I was pretty reckless in those days though, so maybe some others 'round here can give a more comprehensive answer.

I used to exhibit a remarkable recklessness towards dirtbikes.

They punished me for it.;)

Motorcycle rotors are too thin to resurface, atleast I've never seen/heard it done. If its bent, replace it; if its grooved pretty bad, replace it. If it just needs new pads, just put new ones on and ride.
