Who's actually racing from Singapore and when are you all planning to go up?

I'm going to go for ''Friday's 'knacker you brand spanking new tyres before the race'' session because the last time I was on the North Side was back in the days when a TL1000R was a fat pig of a bike that no self respecting biker would choose as a track tool unless he was really stupid....doh!

Still havent quite fathomed out this tyre business but unless they're going to shod my bike for RM 780 in exchange for my Metzlers im going to squeeze Joe's balls for my Pirelli's.

As far as I know-

The handsome stallion of men racing are:

1) The Orange Matt
2) Yellow... but at the same time... Peril
3) The Girl Legend
4) Trevor
5) Me

& Girly poofs staying at home to do their knitting

1) The girl Legend ( cant make his mind up)
2) Silva no knee bullet
3) the rest of SBR all four of em

Nope ... I made my mind up .. I'm there ... I think ... hick arrffff....

But .. it looks like I'll be there for Saturday ..... but if possible I'm still trying to work out how to get there for Friday .. ??

I've still got fresh Metzlers on my bike ... so it seems a waste to not use em up if we need to change to those 'cheap' spec Pirelli's .... speaking of which ... top top top job lads on this deal and a big cheers to our mates are Pirelli !!! ....a top tyre to be on and my personal choice .... :D :D

Yes, I'm in

Pity the new Suzi won't be race-prepped in time; I put the first 500km on her this morning and she feels so light and responsive. Coming back down the old highway near Kulai I came within a second of copping it: just as I was about to pass a truck at about 100 kph it turned right without warning to enter a farm track. I hauled to the left with the front tyre squealing on the brakes and just cleared its tail. Not sure I would have made it on the old bike. Much safer on the track.

I'll be going up Friday p.m. given the early-ish start on Saturday and the need to trade in my SC's. Suggest Esso at 16:00?

Friday

I'm not sure if there is a plan yet, but if there isn't here's one or two....in fact on reflection here's four plans all very similar yet subtley different:

1) ESSO 10:30am
2) ESSO 8:00am
3) ESSO 12:00pm
4) ESSO 3:00pm

I'm thinking plan (1) is the winner but it rather depends on how much beer I drink tonight.

Plan (2) is good to avoid the heat but unlikely due to the cockle-doodle-dooness of the start time.

Plan(3) for those tarts sort of working on a half day but leave early without telling the boss

Plan(4) for hangovers and can't be bothered to try the North track out give me a panadol and switch to auto pilot.

BONUS THUNDERING WHOOPSIE PLAN
Cadge a lift from a bastid with a car cos.... I'm so rich i can afford to own two or more bikes and leave them wherever I fancy so there you grotty little poor person.... but please, please, please (sniffle whimper).. don't tell the rest of the boys, or my wife, because they'll think I'm a big girl and call me 'Gertrude' all weekend.

I'm going for plan 3 and the BONUS THUNDERING WHOOPSIE PLAN (but please don't call me Gertude). I'll be trying to leave a bit after 12 from home.

I just called A Hoi, he's just dyno'd my bike with the PC, its putting out 146 at the rear wheel! :D :D

See you on the track tomorrow.

I would prefer Plan 1. Esso at 1030 to go to Cell Block first, leave the stuff there, and proceed to the track. But I can adjust to what majority prefer.

I'll have the Bonus Thundering Whoopsie, with extra tyres and fries on the side....

... i hope, but still fine tuning my friends in high places. This failing, its lash a set of tyres on the Fazer .

Who gets the gertrude award then....?????!!!

Wot you all on abaht?

Anyway, I'm on plan 5, leaving Esso around 4pm Friday as per my previous posting. I'll be looking out for puncture-victims on the hard shoulder like last time. See you all for drinks and dinner.

Well done Gareth.... it was a good run from Peril but in the end it was an easy choice. You deserve it. In fact youve been asking for this for ages.

YP, dont want you to feel left out as you have made a valiant effort to steel the award from Gar...sorry.. Gertrude.

So fear not .... as you thunder along the main straight tightly grasping your 146bhp steed betwixt your legs you will have the reasurring knowledge that you too are just as worthy and shall henceforth be known as 'Susan' queen of buying all the beer on Saturday.
