as you all know we lost a sbw member this past weekend doing what he enjoyed - Riding!

i grieve alongwith his family and friends at this moment and hopefully this will serve as a reminder to all of us that it is a dangerous world out there and that we all need to understand our limitations.

i suggest that sportbikeworld.com observes a moment of silence to reflect on this tragedy. i would recommend setting aside a certain day and time to not post anything out of respect for michael.

i would suggest say tomorrow (Tuesday) from 5pm est to midnight. these times are totally flexible if the rest of the members dont agree with them. again, this is just a suggestion and you can tell me if i am out of line. i know that we have several international members as well. they can figure out the time difference if they want.

i know that we cant do anything and that makes me feel more helpless. it was only a matter of time before one of us went down :(
but we can definitely mourn the loss of our comrade and i figured it would be a nice tribute to michael if we all did it together.

post your thoughts/feelings....

Excellent idea, Arif. I know I will think of Michael and the loved ones he left behind tomorrow night while we take time out to honor this fallen friend.

A terrific idea, Arif. And many thanks to Robert (or Will), for putting the reminder up.

Pete,

I was shocked when I saw the message, while I didn't know Michael personally I have ridden the same mountain road many times that he crashed on. It was the least that I could do by posting the message at the top of the forum. :(

i decided to do a search for all of michaels posts on sbw and this is what i came up with:
www.sportbikeworld.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?action=simplesearch&SearchIn=ALL&ForumChoice=ALL&SearchTerms=&BooleanAND=YES&SearchDate=ALL&SearchUser=2kracer6&ExactName=no&File=temp-245 1765-144448-Gynn.cgi&Total=11&StartAt=45

read through them if you feel like it. i did and reading them it felt like he was still around... ah well... thats life... one moment you are here..the next - nothing! :(
