Can't decide. I want higher mileage, but I want grip too. If buying the Z6 is going to take the fun out of my mountain/canyon rides, I'll go with the M-1. Any advice? Anyone had both. I can't figure out what the compromise in dry grip is going to be with the Z6 Roadtec.

I take it that is a make & type of a tyre & last I heard you were going to purchasse a Bridgestone BT-020 for the BT-012 that was wearing out. What you have in mind is not a tyre I have any knowledge on.

Smitty -

My BT-012 is down to the wear bars now, so I'm looking for a replacement, but I hadn't really looked at the BT-20. All the the local riders here seem to like the M-1 a lot so I narrowed it down to either the M-1 or the Z6 (which is supposed to be real sticky for a sport-touring tire).

I also couldn't decide whether to replace the rear tire only (my front is still fine) or if that's a bad idea, mixing up brands like that.
