Howdy! Just thought I would check in and introduce myself.

I'm actually a mod over at the sister site (Sportbikes.com) and thougt I would venture out of my little world to see what goes on around here.

A little about me and my bikes:
I'm a Paramedic by night and sleep during the daylight hours. I've been doing the medic thing for about 10 years in an urban enviornment. We service over 600,000 people with 100 full time medics (not fire based).

I'm also a medic on the SWAT and bomb squad.

I hadn't owned a bike in over 10 years and then, one day out of the blue, I fell in love with my Ducati 748.
Some of the mods so far: Ohlins Racing shock, Marchesini 10-spoke wheels, Arrow titanium 1/2 system, c/f hugger and front fender/custom made c/f ankle and heel guards, STM crank case breather, STM frame plugs, Corsa rearsets with GP shift and some other junk that I can't remember.

I ran the 748 on the track at BIR for a few seasons until I had one too many "Oh Sh*t" moments. I then realized that the darn bike costs more than my car. So, I decided to buy a track-dedicated bike.

I bought a crashed SV650 at an auction in the fall and went to town on modifications.
Ohlins shock tuned by LE Suspension, RaceTech springs and Gold Valve emulators, Yosh full system, CrapBodies bodywork, custom crank case breather (ie:pVC pipe:D ), 520 conversion with Sprocket Specialists and DID, Woodcraft rearsets with 3 piece levers, GP Tech fairing stay, custom LED warning lights, had a SPA tach until a little high-side at BIR last year (the bikes maiden voyage no less:crying: ), frame sliders, jetted, Galfer steel braided front and rear lines, Vortex clip-ons.......

At the beginning of the winter I deciede (not by choice because I was finding chunks of Epoxy coming out of the oil) to tear the engine completely down.
I'm currently working on installing JE +2mm overbore racing pistons, Sebimota 999 bodywork, front brake master from a CBR600RR, UNI pod filters, GSXR superbike tail, painting the wheels black, higher profile cams, APE adjustable cam chain sprockets and APE adjustable cam chain tensioners and tank risers.

Anyway, there are a lot of really neat features on this site that I wish we had over at sportbikes.com. This should be fun meeting new people here.

Here's a shot of the SV at BIR last year. It will look completely different this season.
I will be racing with CRA as a newbie this year.

What up! Something about yellow bikes that I like, though I doubt I'd ever own one. Just eye catching I guess.

I pray I'll never have a high-side. The low side I've experienced was more than enough to convince me high sides wouldn't be much fun.

I'm a paranoid dyslexic.....I'm always afraid that I'm following someone.
That's the best thing I've read in a while!
:D

I was never a real big fan of the color yellow until I bought the Duc. Now I just love the color. It does catch one's eye on the road.
