Anyone had any experience with DYMAG wheels? I'm getting ready to dump 4500$$$ Please help! I have Marchesini Wheels right now, and they are real heavy. I have held the Dymags and it is like you could throw them like a frisbee.....thanks in advance.....

Apparently by the dollar signs you must be talking about the full carbon fiber rims. This is only hear say and not by any means personal experience; Although the carbon fiber rims are stronger than aluminum or magnesium rims I have heard from different sources that they can/will develop stress cracks from hard street use. I'm talking about rough roads, potholes, and the stress put on them by the occasional wheelies and stoppies. I've heard they are great for track use if you’re into investing that type of money. I'm checking into Hi point wheels at www.ppsracing.com I don't know how they compare to the weight of the Marchesini's, but I'd like to know if you post the weight. The weights of the Hi point wheels are 7.92 in the front and 10.28 in the rear. These weights are without cush, carrier, and spacers.

I am getting the Dymag Custom Carbon fitted to my Ducati 916 (Magnesium wheels with Carbon Rims) and spoke directly to Dymag about carbon cracking and having to pay special attention to riding with them.

They were very clear that structural Carbon does not crack the way carbon silencers and thin carbon panels do, and that the carbon rims on the wheels are actually stronger than the aluminum or magnesium wheels.

I will post pictures as soon as I get my bike back.

There was a guy on the ducati index who ordered those carbon dymags for his 996 and then sent them back b/c they wouldn't hold air. And yes he tried multiple tires.
I will get the highpoints when the budget allows. They weigh about the same as magnesium marchesinis without the durability issues. The high points look great and are forged aluminum so they should be stronger than mags.

Nothing personal against your bike bro. In fact I think the TLR is one of the best looking Sportbike bikes on the market today!

But why would you blow $4,500 on Dymag wheels for one of the heaviest Sportbikes on the market?

It's kind of like putting carbon fiber body on a Mac truck.

I just don't understand why someone would by the TLR and then blow money on Marchesini and Dymag wheels. Why not just buy a lighter bike and save yourself the cash? Hell, I would not waste the money for those wheels on my 98ZX9R and it's over 30 pounds lighter than the TLR.
