Hi, I have had 261 bikes from the age of 17 to 35, then had about 13 years off the road due to back injury, but am now biking again on a '97 1200 Bandit...second 1200 I have had, amazing bikes apart from the rubbish located in Poole in Dorset...47 years old, love bikes, cats, girls, am currently studying with the Open University, six year course...
am looking for suspension upgrades for my bandit, front end will be sorted over the winter with progressive fork springs, but rear is a problem...tried fitting a gsxr 1100L shock today but wouldn't fit, even though the guy that sold it to me said it would, but he is giving me a refund so fairplay...any suggestions will be gratefully received...
My bandit is 18 years old, but as you can see from the pic looks like new, and will be looked after with regular services etc...not into tuning as the bike is quick enough for what it is...have had copious gsxr 750's in the past, slabsides mostly, and four slingshots, and a few 1100's...prefer the 750's as they handle better and are more usable....go to Poole bike night on Tuesdays, but that is coming to an end for the year, but will be going regular next year...
thinking of selling my car in November to buy an old slabside 750 to restore, let me know if you have one for sale...pref with standard plastics and airbox and running!! Paul
