Hey everyone. I'm new to this forum and new to riding. Just picked up a used Triumph TT 600 last weekend. I'm lookin' to get to know my bike and get familiar with the scene. Figured this is a good place to start. So where to next?

You can meet people @ a bike night in your area and that will give you a chance to find people to ride with. Sign up for some track days and that will make you a better rider and you might meet some locl riders.
Good luck and welcome to the site.

:hello: Welcome to SBW!

If you havent already, invest in some quality gear. It'll save you from lots of pain. Also, consider the MSF course...

Thanks for the tips. I passed by the bike night in Riverside this Tuesday but only stayed for like 5 minutes cause I had the kids and wifey with me. I just wanted to see how to get there and whether or not it was still happening. I was impressed with the turnout. I even saw another Triumph..like 1 :thumb:

Where do I sign up for the track? That sounds like it'd be alot of fun.

As for gear, I've already dropped about a grand in gear. Just need a pair of overpants/riding pants and I'm good. I haven't been able to find a good pair of overpants that offer good protection that I can wear over my clothes when I ride to work. Any suggestions?

I found lots of helpfull tips on riding and gear on this site. (been slacking of at work) I've never been a fan of forums, but I'm hooked! Glad to hear that everyone has been giving sound advice on riding safe, especially for new riders.

Just registered for the MSF course. I'll be taken it the end of this month afterwhich I'll be getting my license. Looking forward to getting all that safety and legal stuff taken care of so I can start riding daily. In the meantime I've got my boots in and just need the pants till I'm fully armored.

I went on a ride up highway 38 during the week and man was it fun! I'm starting to build up my confidence on the bike as it handles the turns. It does feel a bit wobbley in the rear tire, is that normal?
