Hi all, I am new to the world of Street bikes. I am 20 years old, just picked up a 92 kawasaki zx-6. i have not ridden it yet because i do not have a motorcycle license, nor do I really know how to ride!!! I am enrolled in the TEAM ARIZONA beginners riding class in 2 weeks, and plan to learn gradually and not do anything stupid. The bike i bought came with all of the necessary riding gear i.e. gloves, helmet, jacket, and boots...

My question for you all is, what is your best advice for me??? I don't want to end up a bug on a windshield!!! I am ready and willing to learn the proper way to ride, and don't want to be considered a squid!!!

Thanks all for you time and advice, hopefully soon I'll be able to meet up with some of you!!!

Congrats on...

... your new bike. The best thing you could have done was inrole in that riding course. The most important peace of advice that anyone can give you is always wear your helmet. Be alert of your suroundings at all times while riding.

Very true. Keep your melon guard on and be alert. That riding class was a good move, and I complement your good judgement with asking for advice. Wish I was that smart when I started riding. I'd have a few less scars. Good luck to ya and enjoy yourself.
