Well after riding for a 3rd summer now with the D&D i've finally had enough of it. Ive been looking at some different exhaust systems for my bike and just aren't sure what to get. Right now i'm looking at either a muzzy or a vance & hines ss2r system.I now this will make the people who ride behind me quite happy.what do you all think would be the best? I'm open for suggestions.

Akra is superior to muzzy... Rob Muzzy is still using way old tech...

You'll love it, trust me.. I have heard it first hand

In my experience, Muzzy and D&D have the same loud @$$ sound. Acraprovic is very good. V&H is alright. Everyone has a Yosh! Arrow is a decent brand.

Myself, I am going to put a Jardine on my 1000RR.

I really want to get away from D&D or anything like it. I want to bring the noise range down to a resonable level. It's also for the sake of the people that are riding behind me.

Muzzy is good. Not sure Rob Muzzy is using "way old technology", but they make a very good end product in terms of workmanship. Problem with it is it is loud.

I had a Muzzy full titanium system on my ZX9R for about 8 years. I got tired of the sound (i.e., real loud on the freeway even with ear plugs), although I feel the sound brings to mind ultra high performance machinery like WSB.

I run a Hindle (stainless steel) system now. 4 into 2 into 1. Good midrange power now, less noise.

Akra.
no other choice here in my mind. The other systems are decent but out of these choices, they make the best pipe in my opinion.

Are you looking for a full system?
Are you looking to squeeze power out of it?
or are you just looking for a quiet pipe.

IMO for the cost of a full system, you should look at what is going to make power for you. The D&D doesnt help do that.

You may want to try and post this in the Kawasaki forum or one like it to see what other system owners are getting with what results.
but my vote is for the Akropovic or Arata

Muzzy

Muzzy would be my choice (and is) for a full system. My Z1000 sounds great, looks good (I think) and delivers the performance I wanted.

Muzzy is the Kawasaki expert. :)
