174.81hp

When we dyno our bikes at L7 in August my ZX14 pulled 174.81 hp. and I was running way lean cause of my exhaust and butterfly’s pulled.

I now have a Power Commander and I am very curious what I would pull now. :eyebrows:

See-Ya this spring........

I was just kidding .....kinda
My main point is it's a Lightweight 1000 with a Monster Motor,
hmmm Slam it and extend it and it may be a Quarter Mile King.

The Ninja 10 does look like a cool bike. I sat on one, but not ridden one, but I did not think that it fit me well, hence the Busa I still drive.

But the 10 is certainly lighter than the Busa.
Clay looked like a giant on his 10, everything sticking out into the wind, but he says he loves his Ninja.

As for the 2008 Busa, in print, the bike does not look all that great.

But after seeing Walt's new Busa in real life, it really is a nice looking bike! Of course, I think Walt is going to dump those exhausts, saving both a ton of weight as well as increasing the bike's sex (not Walt's) appeal.

So, how is the new gig working out?
How is the store? Nice?

Hi webb
It's still retail, but it's a good company to work for. Come on in and see all the pretty guns.

the new Cycle World JULY 08 ISSUE seems to prove my early thought on the New 08
ZX10......It does 0 to 180mph in 17.21
08 Busa.............0 to 180mph in 18.25
08 ZX14............0 to 180mph in 19.77
08 GSXR1000......0 TO 180mph in 18.51

the 2008 ZX10 Also does 100 to 180 in 11.99
08 Hayabusa.................100 to 180 in 13.26
08 ZX14.......................100 to 180 in 14.73
08 GSXR1000.................100 to 180 in 18.51

The raw power of the ZX10 is a thing of Beauty....
I watched a few 04 & 05 ZX10's doing consistant 9.80's & 9.90's at ubly and NO OTHER 1000cc bikes doing that with the same setups................It made me a Believer.

Man, I just rode a guy's 2006 gixxer 1k and I honestly can't imagine needing more power than that. Or even that much really. Don't get me wrong, it was awesome, but it also firmly convinced me my next purchase will be a 600. It's got more than I'll ever come close to using.

I was out riding with a couple guys on sunday. One had an '07 1000RR, and the other had an '08 GSX-R 1000. I was on my 600, which is plenty fast. But trying to keep up with them in the straights was a bit tough. I'm with spicersh, why do you need that?

There are 3 good reasons.

1. Ego

3. Ego

Any questions?

you can get a speeding ticket on a Ninja 250 anywhere in the country if you really wanted to.

It can't be the greatest for the ego to go into a corner with a 600 trailing a quarter mile back, and 2 turns later, he's nipping at your heels :twofinger
