I like the pipe out the belly pan bit. Not sure it would work in the real world thou.

Chum...you'd suffer from the same as me. It'd take you a week to get it out of the crack of yer arse every time you wanted to get off:twofinger

Look out Casey Stoner!!!

I agree BP, can't image the rear tyre would be all that impressed by the heat of that pipe.....

Put a decent donk in it, round off a few of those edges and maybe I'd be interested

YEah

Come on Dave give em a chance. They've only just got an engine to last more than 12 revs and you want curvey body panels:p

I remember the KTM's well from the 70's motocross days. It was always a toss up which would run out first. The petrol or the main bearings. :cussing;

It's been a long while

but if i remember rightly it relies on direct tooth drive rather than friction of a number of clutch plates being depressed by springs.

Not quite sure how it is applied to bike engines but would imagine it's implimented to stop clutch slip from thumper ( V) engines.

Dog Clutch

I think their editing department left the "of a" out of the sentence... :p

I might just steer clear of them until they prove they can make something without knobbies :twofinger

On another note: Anyone else seen those loony irishmen running the latest litre bikes on the little pokie country lanes - fark that for a joke!!! Makes the IOM look fairly pussy like

Jumping the gun just a little.....

250 motogp maybe??? No way they could compete in the open class just yet.....

KTM 2005 in the 250cc Moto GP class!

The secret is out! Now it is official! Mr. Pierer (managing director of the KTM Sportmotorcycle AG) confirmed yesterday at the Grand Prix in Brno (CZ) officially, that KTM is preparing at full throttle to enter the 250cc Road Racing World Championship. Please remember the word "enter".

It is very clear that we have a lot of work in front of us to prepare a competitive bike within the next 6 months. The first year will be for testing and to collect experience. Nobody can build a winning bike behind closed doors, so we will follow our successful philosophy of developing bikes under hardest conditions. This can only be in the Road Race World Championship.
At the moment it looks like Casey Stoner is committed to developing this project along with KTM.
