I'm so frickin pumped!!!!! This past weekend I finally picked up my first sport bike!!! It's been 3 years in the making and I finally did it. She's a beautiful, though not perfect, 1998 Honda CBR 600F3. Not perfect because there's a little rash on the lower right fairing. I do have a replacement panel; however I think I'm going to leave it while I'm learning. I'll also need to replace the front and rear tire when I return from Japan (leaving for vacation for a week and a half). From all I read, Pirelli Diablo's are the way to go. I've found a few websites that have them pretty cheap, so that's the route that I'm going to go.

Between internet, and work I've been spending my time learning how to ride her. Stupid Chicago weather has had me garaged way more than I want to. Well here is a pic or two....tell me what you think.

Nice bike!

Might wanna check out an autobody place for the rash, silver is about the easiest colors to blend. I would say a resonable quote for that patch would be $175

Mabe you have a friend in the business, in any case ride safe and have fun:thumb:

Fellow F3er

Hey dude! Congrats on the wheels! I bought a 1997 F3 about 5 weeks ago and love it. I too am totally psyched! i had a 1985 500 Interceptor quite a while ago, but DAMN this is quite a difference. I have had it just past 155 on the highways and the best I got on the 500 was about 115. I am enjoying the riding and learning as well. Thought about trading this in already for a newer slightly bigger bike, but then decided against it going to take this to the Keith Code school and learn. If I wreck it I won't cry all that much, but if I did with a new CBR or RC51... I would shed some big ol' crocodile tears.
Well, good luck! See you in the funny papers!
