Mounting a GPS Unit...

Based on my experience mounting a GPS III+ unit on my bike, I'd recommend staying away from the clip-ons as a mounting point, the vibration from the engine through the bars, if at all buzzy will tend to interfere with the battery's power delivery to the unit, and it will switch off and on with no warning.

I've had the best luck with a suction mount to the tank, or a fairing bracket...the tank mount doesn't require drilling any holes and is my preferred method.

Are you talking about the stem hole for mounting the mirror? I'd imagine it would be very secure and visible...the only thing I can caution you on is the amount of vibration that you might get there. My FZ1 transfers alot of vibration through the bars and mirrors, just check it out first or you might have problems with the unit shutting off which is a complete pain in the ass...if the Busa doesn't put alot of engine vibration through your mounting point, you should be safe.
