I was told by a few guys, that I would be able to swap a 900 motor into my f2, that it would bolt right up. Is this true? What all is involved in swapping motors? I am coming from a background of an auto mechanic, I just havent done much with bikes yet. Would I use the Trans from the 900 or 600? thanks for the help.

I don't know whether the bolt patterns are the same or not, but if it bolts in, you should be able to make it work. You will need the ECU (black box) from the 900, and naturally the carbs and probably some of the plastic airbox parts, but it should be fairly straightforward besides that, assuming that Honda uses the same connectors for the key, lights, tach, etc. Unlike cars, bikes don't have a separate engine and transmission, they are cast with one casing (ok, except for a few old Harleys and some even older real bikes), so you don't have a choice but to use the 900 tranny.
