I hear you man!
I got taken out in December by a women (not that I'm being sexist or anything!) who did almost exactly the same thing to me. Except, being in NZ it was the other way round. Two lanes my side of center, me in the right, her in the left. About 2m behind her (DIFFERENT LANE!) about to overhaul her, and she pulls a u-turn across in front of me. I had no-where to go! Grabbed a handful of brake, did a nice stoppie. Hit her in the worst place possible - the middle of the driver's side door (that'd be the right side in NZ). My left arm collected the front pillar, and to cut a long story short, I've got a titanium plate in my arm now, and was out of riding for over 3 months.
Wish people would LOOK before they turn! Or even perhaps come and visit you in hospital when they take you out
Okay, I've got it out of my system now.
Keep the rubber side down!
