Yes, I do some, but not 100%

None of your choices fit my stituation. I do the work, but not valve adjustments (I don't have forty bazillion shims sitting in a box) and some other things that take too long to finish.

I can do all the electrical work and trouble shooting.

Most of the time, it is a time issue for me more than anything else. The shop can turn the job faster than I can.

I am restoring a car so I just can't spread myself out that thin by doing all the work on my bikes as well.

My father owns an car business(fixing) so i do all my own work to anything i own... Valve adjustments might get a little hairy but i'll work my way through it.. I hate paying people for shit i can do for a lot less money. I know how those businesses work, cuz its exactly how my father's does..

I have done all maintenance to my own bike, except for breaking down the motor/tranny etc.... I do not see any reason to have anybody else do maintenance on my personal bike. I guess because I do not trust anybody else messing with the tension of my chain or making sure the brakes are air free and working fine, type of thing. I would rather do the job myself. It is not hard, and you know exactly what is being done and how it is done if you do it yourself. It could be a simple mistake; as not tightening the brake calipers on the front end to the right torque, this could kill you... If you let someone else do the job. I do trust my local Yamaha dealor and other dealers in town by far, but they charge way to much an hour to perform simple maintenenance. But anybody else who claims to work on bikes, not a chance. Anyway, my 2 cents on the thought. If any one out there that are near Houston, Texas, drop me an email. I'm trying to find more people to ride with.

Later!!!
