O.K. it's been two months sice a former friend totaled my bike so I'm asking for advice. No laywers around here will take the task of sewing because no insurance company involved. Should I try the small claims court and take a lose since I hear you can only ask for up to like $2,500.00 or call Judge Judyand see how she feels about us sportbike riders? I'm not sure if there is much I can really do to try and recover my loses. My next step is to burn his house down if I can't get a dime out of him j/k.

You mean to tell me that your ex-friend totalled your brand new bike, and doesn't want to take responsibility for it???If that is the case, by all means pay his a$$$ back....I'm sure that you will get creative...I can't give you any suggestions for liability reasons, but I hope he pays!!!

You didn't have insurance on a brand new bike  ? If that's true then I imagine you are pretty much screwed--take it out of his ass is about all you can do, but he's most assuredly not worth the price of your bike. That completely suck man--sorry. Get insurance in the future. If you love it, insure it.

Gotta go with RUG BURN on this one. I mean, you didn't insure an R1!!!! (it was an R1, right?) Now if it was a Honda.....well that's a whole other story. But a f*ckin' R1 - are you insane?!?

If I was in this situation (which I wouldn't be 'cause I tend to insure my bikes), I'd take your friend's bike (does he even have one?) and ghost-ride it off a cliff. Oh, and I like the house-burning idea.....go with that. :D :D :D :D

O.K, you caught me in that one, I was hoping to play with a pair of boobs that most likely look likes some saggy utters, yuk. Or maybe it's the idea of a suger mama that can take her teeth out.

No, I know it was unwise to just have liability at the time but I didn't plan on keeping it that way and after a while it just seem to keep putting it off. I would of had liability on the very first day but since I saved every penny up for it including part of my paycheck that day I didn't have the cash to start a full coverage policy. Lesson learned the hard way is the only thing that comes to mind. I've already started to rebuild her better than new and will have pics up soon showing progress. I just with the bastard would give me some money to speed up the process. I guess it's kind of hard to work with a broken face though.

Sue him Yourself! And soon. The longer you wait the harder it will be. I learned my lesson after getting a royal screwing in my divorce. Now I do all my own legal work and have won every time(Not to mention saving the $110/hr and $300/hr trial fees). There are tons of places on the net to get help, but the best is the court house. All records are public info. Go in, make friends with the clerks(very important step), and ask to see a case/cases similar to yours. Then plagerize the crap out of all the forms. You can also find lots of forms in any word processing progs(MS WORD has them). Research it, stick with it, and go get him. Even if he doesn't have all the cash, they'll make him do time payments. At least you'll get the cash back.
