I dont know how useful it is, but it's pretty damn cool. Plus its powered by an R1 engine, even cooler.

Does one need a pilot license for that thing? And how does it turn, i see no control surfaces, my guess is that it just turns the fan..

My guess is that you use power to control altitude, and turning is done by either warping the foil (chute), or deflection of thrust (think swamp buggies).

It'll probably be considered a light sport aircraft since it looks like it'll weigh more than 254 lbs. and the site says it'll do 110kph, which is faster than the 102kph max in the U.S.

If that's the case then these are the requirements to be certified to fly it.

Hi :)

Hi all,

I was lucky enough to be on the Sky Car Expedition. ( I was the Paramotor Pilot & Comms geek)

I saw this thread while googleing flying go cart which made me chuckle.

I am not sure if you are aware but the 'production' version of the Sky Car is now designed.

Sky Car

Hi all,
