I know this month-long break at the end of the season is annoying to me, as a fan. I assume it must be a real pain for the riders and teams.

Maybe that diminished considerably after PPIR, now that it looks like all Mladin has to do to win the title is finish upright. But if it were a close one or two-point battle and I were a rider in contention, I think it would drive me crazy waiting a month.
