Yeah that does suck, and they are probably clearing up more space for Corbin's ride on and other such cruiser specific shows.

Super Bikes looks to be a good show though, so we'll just have to wait and see.

sounded like it from last night, and that superbike show looks kind of ghey. I don't want to see a show about a bunch of biker gangs rolling wheelies and street racing... thats what youtube is for.

T W T has been over for a while. It was a good show when they would replay all the racing from the weekend. Then that stopped and Greg is not that interesting. :2cents:
It wasn't the best show in the world, but it was all we as sprortbike riders had. I agree with you...but any port in a storm. If I see another big twin, v-twin, custom cruiser, biker buildoff show...I think I'm gonna hurl.:hurl: LOL

Presently sportbike riders have nothing in the form of sprortbike specific TV. I thought TWT brought lots of things together in one place. From weekend racing highlights (MotoGP, AMA, FIM, SBK), interview with riders, new bike reviews, and product highlights. I agree the show was biased, but I had some level of enjoyment watching it. I would FF through the dirt stuff too...that didn't captivate me at all...Oh well...let's see what the next evolution in sport bike TV brings.

It also amazes me, that with all the sport bikes around there isn't more shows that cater to that specific demographic. It is likely due to the average age of sportbike riders and their lack of interest as motocyclists. Not to mention their short attention span for product specific things. A squid could care less about enhancement items whether it be performance or aestetic, unless it made him look PHAT in front of this crew or to pick up chicks. They may not be interested in suspension tuning, or products to improve their riding skills. Lack of programming could be the bad image too, the let's don a wife beater, baggy jeans, and tennies then ride stand ups on the expressway. While we're at it we'll have a "support" vehicle video taping our idiocy. Let's face it...some people own motorcycles, others are motorcyclists. After all, programming is about what sells. If the powers-that-be can quantify that it is not worth having a show on sportbikes, then there won't be. Seems like having programming on SPEED is our only hope. But no money...no show.

Arguably the demographic of the average sport bike rider falls within the age with the most disposable income, age 18-28.

I would love to see a show similar to TWT, but in a more hybrid form. Keep the racing highlights, the product and bike reviews, then jazz up the format a little. Customization of bikes like busas, that has a huge following. More amateur stuff like the racers (GP and Drag) and tracks around the US. Things like that...but who am I. I would love to see someone like Sonicsbomb or a WERA/CCS racer highlighted. The privateers that race in AMA to the professionals like Spies, Mladin, or Zemke. To me there just seems to be this huge hole for sport bikes, this space, that needs to be filled. One could argue that with the many magazines out there, that should show that there is infact interest. Heck, I subscribe to 4 or 5 myself...but that is just me. I like to keep informed and updated on the latest and greatest things. Am I in the minority? I must be?

My only fear is that this Sportbikes TV show will be the Biker Boyz type of thing. Racing and passion will be lost. If it wasn't for racing, the bikes these stunna's ride today wouldn't exist. Let's not lose the passion and the genesis of where all this sportbike stuff started. Again, another space or hole that needs to be filled. Ugh!

Who is up for a Redline Superbike version of TWT. It seems our club offers everything we (ok Me) are looking for in a TV show. From passionate leaders and members, to Technical seminars (oil, tires, helmets, suspension, and the like), to good roads nationwide (multitude of trips), to racing (Mid-Ohio racing every year), to track days (Gratton, Ubly), AMA Chartered, riding safe in a pack, and safety gear. The only thing we are lacking is a TV Camera and a chance. LOL. Wishful thinking, right?

Sorry for the rant...often times my passion for sportbikes and motorcycling gets the best of me....:D

Ok...I'm done. Back to your regularly scheduled day.:twofinger

damn doc, tell us how you really feel!:twofinger

but really what I'm looking for is more of a racing specific show. highlight all the motogp races, ama, wera, and wsb races from the weekend/ week. Have a show that does sort of a car and driver style review of new street bikes... IE run the new R6/ gsx-r600/750 at an awesome track like laguna or miller, or barber, or whatever. Highlight tracks for trackdays in a local region, focusing on different regions every week. That kind of show would be awesome. Something with new gear reviews too. This superbike stunt up crap is going to drive me nuts.

so in short +1 doc.
