I'm 15 and I live in PA. There is a new law here that says you can get your driver's permit when you're 16, but you have to wait 6 months to get your license. My question is: do you need a driver's license in order to get a motorcycle permit, or can I get the motorcycle permit as soon as I get my driver's permit?

I don't know the laws in Pa. But I got my permit when I was 15 1/2. I didn't get my car (class c) until I was 17.

But like AZ said, it would be a good idea to call your local DMV.

You might want to check out Y2K Bikes. I it says: All state laws here. It might have what you are looking for. I'm not sure as I have never looked at it.
