Yep it is crap, how a few idiots, can give the majority a bad name.

I live in a very small town population 1000, and there are unbelievably 6-8 sportbikes around town. 2 of them unfortunately, are always racing through town and popping wheelies everywhere, so now the cops follow all of us and bother us.

Excuse me, but what in the heck is a dim-brain of a m/cist that likes to carry out said stuntings doing in a parade? Are the people, in charge of the parade, that low in grey matter to feel that stunting is a normal part of m/cing & especially sportbikes?

I have stayed AWAY from parades most of my life because often that is where someone can accidently be hurt through mobs of people especially when, like a herd of animals, they can accidently step on one injured person to create more injured people.

Yes I can see something like the Shriners on their "monkey" bikes or something like the well trained police on their m/cs carrying out some manuvers at slow speeds, but not some young dim-wit on a peaky engine sportbike for here is an example of what can happen. Unless the media has it all wrong again.

Whoever put him in the parade for that purpose showed some poor judgement, too. What the hell were they thinking?

Well here is the answer being "--The parade celebrated local residents who helped elderly people fix up their properties and cleaned up their neighborhoods during the city's 42nd annual Freddie Fixer Day on May 8. --".

Obviously some younger people that set up this parage also talked the city into such an incipid idea of their organization.

Proof that some younger people are still not to bright. These were probably those that go for every crazy so called movie & look upon those that do wheelies on the public streets as the next thing to god.

Was the motorcyclist an official part of the parade? It's not really clear from the article if he was part of it or just riding along in it; these little small-town parades get crashed once in a while. I mean, if he was an officially entered participant, why were the police apprehending him afterward? An investigation, sure, but an arrest?

Now, if he wasn't supposed to be there, I can see why they would nab him. That's why I'm confused as to whether or not he was an official parader.

Yes I know it was a serious accident, but if a wheel came off a parade float and it plowed into the crowed, would the police arrest the person driving the float? I think not, at least not unless there determined there was criminal negligence involved or something. But that would be after an investigation, right?

The whole situation is fucked up. If he wasn't supposed to be there, the police should have stopped him right away -- surely someone that organized the parade would have known he shouldn't be there. But he never should have been there! Stunting should be done with any crowd safely (relatively) behind a barrier of some sort, not standing on the curb. Sheesh!
:wtf:

SO if he was part of the parade THEN it would be appropiate that New Haven, Conn will be receiving a law suit toot-sweet.

Here we sit in anticipation with hope someone will come up with more accurate info.

I'm kinda offended they attached a pic of Max Biaggi doing a wheelie to that dumbass...¿?

Like putting a picture of an F1 driver next to an article about someone in a street race hitting a post.

Really, putting up a picture of Biaggi or anyone else who actually didn't do the stunt is wrong. Thing is most people will thing that is the guy.

Man, I'd be really offended if I was the guy in the picture. Lawsuit or something for hurting reputation or such.

Should send them mail to remove the picture.

So true as I forgot that was a shot of Mad Max Biaggi & said news people should be flooded with insults from riders & be prepared to be sued by Max or someone higher up.

That is his bike, his RACE NUMBER, & natch a bike 100% none legal for street use --- a 100% FACTORY road racer. What a bunch or arses.

Would said media be stupid enough to put up a picture of a Marine or any American or any Country armed forces with full auto rifle, grenades, protective gear & all, in REGARD to some incident of an American hunter???
