I recently read a web site on integrated braking - how when you apply the rear (foot) brake, it applies braking force to both the rear and front brakes. Is this on all bikes, or just big cruisers/tourers?

I believe it's called linked braking (at lease by Honda) and it's not on all bikes. On the '02 VFR, applying the front brake gets you 2 of 3 pistons on the front calipers and 1 of 3 pistons on the rear. Applying the rear brake gets you 2 of 3 pistons on the rear and 1 of 3 on the front. Applying both brakes gets you action on all pistons on all calipers. (I may have the numbers off a little.)

I know my XX had it, and I never really noticed too much of a difference with it. Maybe if I'd taken it to a track I'd have noticed more.
