Did you check Ebay. I know you really have to know what you are looking to buy. Lots of knuckleheads out there photocopying their own manuals and trying to sell them.

I got mine from Motowheels.com.

I sent this guy $40 for a manual on Monday, he sent me a note back within an hour saying it would ship Tue. morning, the manual was in my mailbox when I got home today! THAT'S cool! Thanks guys :)

So now, I have a dumb question. If I remove my fuel tank, I need to drain it first right - otherwise when I unhook the line I'll have fuel all over? It doesn't even mention this in the manual...

Good deal :thumb:

don't know the trick but i've heard of fellas being able to take the tank off with out draining and not making a mess...

There will be an off position for that purpose. You don't have to drain it. It is true on most of the newer bikes that the petcock is also vacuum operated so that any time you shut the engine off, the fuel is also off, regardless of petcock position. It's like a belt and suspenders.;)

i know somebody will correct me if i'm wrong, but if it's a vacuum petcock (as opposed to gravity fed?), no gas will leak unless there is pressure pulling it out of the tank.

Let me correct you then....HD had one of the largest recalls in its history due to its vacuum petcock not shutting off, therefore fuel running into its carb all night long and draining into the cylinders past the valves and then ya go and start the bike.....booom.

Does anyone know where you can get good service manuals for cars? I was happy with the bike one I got from the guy in this thread (Riggs), and already sent him a note asking about cars... Those Chilton and Haynes ones are dumb
A-ron,

I told you i had the service manual and I could burn it on CD for you when you came by to check out the gym. I would have given you the thing for free.
