I finally got tired of not riding every week. I don't get to race as much as I want, and that sucks. So to suppliment my motorcycle fix, I went out and purchased a 2002 TL1000R with zero miles. Actually, it was still in the crate and they had to put it together. I decided on the Yellow and Black one cause they are faster. <g>

I am as giddy as a little school girl!

I think bike is bad-ass. I'd be curious to see how you like the handling, and overall riding experience...

Well, lets see. I don't wheelie on purpose. Too scared (but I will race and drag my knee all day, go figure!) and don't want to learn and foot the bill for learning. :)
So far, my thoughts.
Today I was in Orlando and rode with Ungwaha and Poo.
I really need new springs in the front end. It is way too soft. Sure I can adjust some, but the issue is hard braking and soft front end. I also need to set the bike for me. The suspension isn't set yet, but that will come.
It needs encouragement to go into turns (see previous about suspension), but once it is in and over, handles like on rails. The stock tires are too hard, it needs softer, stickier rubber.
I need to adjust to the new, aggressive position. My F3, even though it is a race bike, has me sitting more upright that the TL does. So my wrists need to adjust to the daily riding again, and I need to start using my back more.
Overall, I am very happy. I kind of knew what to expect. I really like this bike for the street, and can't wait to get it one the track. That will take some self control! :D

if the forks are anything like the 750, you can't get enough pre-load into them.

anyway, cool bike. i seriously considered a tl-r when i got my bike. i really liked the way it looked. they seem to have a lot of power. too bad the yosh crew didn't keep developing them. but then what would mladin have to whine about. :)

congrats.
