If any of you are daft enough to want to learn from the repatriation of me an the Duc - u can contact me.

So far we seem to be home and dry on the duty account but surprises may yet lurk in the post. Furnture movers Inc managed to rough the old girl up despite the nice Minerva 999 crate we supplied.

Tea cup packing techniques dont do so well on motorcycles - she fell over on the first wave in the Indian Ocean - dented tank, broken seat, battery holder and trottle control. All reparable with the insurance $735 i nearly baulked at. The freight was a supplement of $1500 on my household junk.

Belgian buraucracy just beginning - no ID no licenceplate - tansit plate can - cannot coz you have applied for ID so we wont do it for you - wait a month or to. All this after a day and a half of wrong turns and queues.

Conclusion - I am riding around on a bicycle with replica Edwards helmet talking dementedly of Singapore , Malaysia, boot camps and burnt rubber.

At least we are sleeping in our own bed now and the beer is cheap.

Is it in Belgium where even yr pedal bike needs a license plate.

I suppose that before you can get close to getting her road legal you will need to demonstrate that you are who you say you are, that you were where you were when you said you were, and that most importantly this wasn't stolen to order, even if it did just fall off the back of a container ship, yr honour.

Bureaucracy is a wonderful thing as long as yr dispensing it, and not on the receiving end of it.
