Err yup.

Low front tyre pressure, steaming hot day, melted tarmac and running late ....

For those that know Phuket is was going up the monster hill into Patong. just at the bottom, the lovely tight left hander. I tipped her in and for the first time felt the front go a bit wobbly ....

So of course, I lean it over further to see that was going on, and to my amazement the front tucked .... and in slow mo I realised I was going to hit the bavement.

I just couldn't believe it. So ... hands out, no gloves of course and wearing a tshirt I hit pavement and preceeded to do some lovely barrel rolls ending in a styly starfish.

Not too old to crash then .. ;-)

So nothing like your infamous arse over head tumble in turn 2 at Sepang?? :twofinger

Are you sure you didn't have some other things on your mind then your driving? Just remembered Valentines Day is coming up and a certain wedding on that very day...

Hope there wasn't too much damage and good to hear you'r still alive.

haha ... too funnny .. ya bunch a caaants :)

In no particular order .... wedding ?? ... geez, you have a better memory than me silva ... mind, I have had a few of them now so it all does get a bit hazy remembering which one was which ..

As for gravel rashes, saves on the knee, and hairy backs ... well ...

I have received definitive proof that the cause of the accident was 'liquid' tarmac, and insufficient tyre pressure due to shared ownership of a motorcycle with a woman. If you all don't mind, let me explain in detail ..... :)

Now, normally neither one of these factors would be able to bring The Legend down, however both of them at the same time, combined with thoughts of girlie drinks on the beach, were enough to temporarily warp the space time continum at the very point of contact of the legends scooter front tyre patch. Ferk.

Unfortunately, I have no decent goor pics. Just the ones to follow. If you look closely at the boring jeep pic, you'll see the stains on the jeans and t-shirt. The other is me in recovery for my injuries. The guy next to me is a gay nurse. Ferkin poof.

Somehow I got off easy. I thing the tarmac being like jelly helped with the road rash .... not a scratch on my hands, but the left elbow didn't fair so well. It took a week to pic the shit out of it.

Lessons learned:

1. Liquid tarmac is a real and present danger. It's a part of the axis of evil and a true weapon of legnedary destruction.

2. Women can not maintain a vehicle.

3. Girlie drinks can cure anything.

Recovery. The hospitals in Phuket are top class and the medicine is awesome. Just watch out for the bare chested gay nurses ;-)
