Well, I finally have some time to post about my crash during our trip to Deal's Gap. 
First of all, I'm fine, just very bruised and sore, but even that is starting to fade at this point. Thank goodness for great riding gear!!
We were riding on Joyce Kilmer, back toward the place we were staying and it was the last day of the trip, thank goodness. Came over a hill and couldn't tell until it was too late that the curve over the hill was extremely tight. I got in too hot and after that point I think one of two things may have happened. What I felt like happened was that I leaned the bike over so far to get through the super tight turn that my peg actually caught in the rough pavement and pulled the bike out from under me. The other possibility is that I got off the gas so hard (nope, didn't hit the brake at all) that I washed out the front end and the bike slid out from under me.
I hit the ground and slid about 60 feet on my left side and back. I smacked the heck out of my head, slammed my left elbow into my ribs and somehow hurt both arches of my feet and both hands. My Hondaline Cordura jacket is scuffed, my Tourmaster Cordura pants are scuffed, my helmet has a chunk out of it, my Chatterbox is toast, slid right on it, my gloves are minorly scraped (awesome gloves) and my boots are minorly scraped.
The bike basically slid about 60 feet on the left side, hit the edge of the grass and high-sided into a ditch onto the right side. Amazingly enough, the only damage to the right side is the mirror. The left side is scuffed, but not too badly. I need a new shift lever, alternator cover and gasket, both mirrors, left turn signal and left lower fairing. I'm amazed that it didn't hurt the tail section or front fairing at all but I'm not complaining about that.
I rode the bike back to the house where we were staying, with my right foot hanging off the peg and shifting gently since the shift lever was bent and cracked and we brought my F4 home on the trailer, all scuffed up. Just ask s-hawk and RCJohn. They said it was a helluva crash to watch.
Now, more than ever, I know how important good riding gear is.
