This is in regards to a friend of mines bike.

It's on 07 GSXR 750.

It's having some weird battery problems!

He can go in his garage right now, and it will crank, with NO problems...then ride it for say 10 minutes or so the the gas station, turn it off, and go to start it again, and it will act as if the battery is dead...but the lights shine bright and everything...

If someone jumps him off, it will crank right back up....

Then he can stop it and it will start back up with no problems....

It's random..he never knows when it will do it...

Brought it to the dealer and they started it and stopped it damn near 50 times and it never did it once...

But of course, about a week alter, it did it to him again.

Anyone know what the hell this could be??

I've heard of a COUPLE GSXR's around here having problems along these lines...is this a Suzuki thing? lol
I'm hoping not...I plan on getting a 750 early next year myself!

My first suggestion is to check the battery connections. It should have tight bolts to the battery-specific nuts. I recently replaced mine, had weird electrical issues kinda like that and found this was the simple cause.

Ditto, sounds like a loose connection somewhere. If it is not on the battery (most likely) it could be one of the safety switches that keep the bike from starting (N indicator switch, clutch lever switch, etc)

Good point, Vash. Back on my old bike, the e-stop switch was sometimes used by some to kill the engine rather than the key. If the rider's using that technique, he ought to try using the key only to see if the issue disappears, thus proving the cause.
