Greek Islands By Bike
I've just got back from an overseas trip, that included a week in the Greek islands. 
A friend and myself rented various bike's, ranging from a Virago 250 through to a Yami 600 trail bike (model?).
Everybody travels by bike, helmets are rare, so when in Rome.....
The road surface's vary from dangerous to very dangerous, so corner speeds were kept low. The Virago being a rental, became a useful off roader, the plush setup rode over the rocks just nicley.
We managed to find places that were tourist free, up in the mountains.
I would recomend a bike trip there, ferrys are regular from Athens and between the islands.
